Who We Are?

We are a team with more than 16 researchers that is primarily specializes in bearing structures in the field of earthquake engineering.

The team is led by Professor Vladimir Sigmund, Ph.D., P.E., one of the greatest experts in earthquake engineering in Croatia.

The areas of our activities are seismic design, static and dynamic experimental tests, structural analysis and numerical modeling of structures.

Activities related to our team makes us the leading center for research in the field of earthquake engineering in Croatia.

The overall goal of FRAmed-MAsonry Research Project is to develop pragmatic procedures, by cooperative efforts of team members and co-working international body, to assess the safety of existing framed-masonry systems, design methods for new buildings, safety evaluation and standardization.
